Kelly Brothers - projects both large and small

Up until the mid-80's Kelly Brothers stock in trade was new build works for the public sector, but around 1986 we branched out into private house building. With the decline in public sector house building towards the end of the 80's we had to look for other avenues to maintain turnover. Consequently we began to upgrade housing in 1990 as part of our continued expansion.

The kind of work we now do falls into 3 main categories:

  1. New build social housing (housing associations).

New builds undertaken by housing associations where they deem there is a demand for new public housing. This housing is generally for rental purposes.

  2. Improvement to existing stock.

Upgrading existing housing to present day standards. These houses are generally over 25 years old, and are inadequate to the needs of modern families. We will renovate these houses, making improvements such as expanding the kitchen, re-wiring the electrics and installing new plumbing and heating. These improvements are financed by the N.I.H.E. as part of a long term housing improvement program.

  3. Private developments.

We undertake developments to meet public demand for high quality housing. These developments vary in size but may be up to 100 houses. The vast majority of these developments are sold through an estate agents, but we have done individual builds and are always open to discussion on any project large or small.

Please take a look at our current, future and archived projects sections for details on individual projects/developments we are involved with.
